We are so excited to welcome these organizations to MRA. Two are now on the Board of Directors and will help lead MRA in a time of enormous growth in Midtown. Our other two new members are both in the business of supporting women in our area who need a lift up. They are a deep network of former Big 4 consultants and bring your project real-life experiences.
Peoples Tire and Auto has been a Midtown Partner of MRA since 2023, and are taking a step forward in joining our Board of Directors. They are celebrating 60 years as a local business with 3 generations all born and raised in North Carolina. They take pride in their long established relationships built on honesty, exceptional service, and by keeping their customers’ best interests in mind. They specialize in a variety of automotive makes and models, as well as foreign and domestic. They are honest experts in tires, repairs, and maintenance of autos.
Designed for Joy provides women in crisis with stability through immediate employment and support, removing the stigma of vulnerability. To date, they have hired over 140 women with over $500,000 in living wages earned through safe and dignified jobs. Their goal is for participants to leave DFJ with marketable skills and a solid job reference to succeed in the job market. They are a locally owned organization founded and run by women.
1 of Us provides assistance that directly impacts the lives of patients with breast and other gynecological cancers. The financial assistance 1 of Us provides makes a direct impact on the lives of families. From food, to transportation, to utilities, 1 of Us helps lessen the interruptions in the lives of a patient’s family. Since 2010, 1 of Us has helped over 4,000 women! They are locally owned and founded and run by women.
